Thank you for a great two weekends of action! It's time now to start the Thunderbirds Jamboree portion of the balancing process.

Note that player moves may be necessary at any point during the balancing process. Thank you for your understanding.

Parents will be needed at every ice session in the following roles: Timekeeper, Scorekeeper, Dressing Room Monitors (2)

There will be no sign up sheet during the Jamboree, so we hope you will all ensure your team is taken care of and one person from each team heads to the penalty box.

Thank you in advance!

Should you have any questions, please either speak to the Head Coach on your team or contact the Atom Division Ambassadors:

September 5, 2018

We hope everyone is getting excited about getting back on the ice and seeing their hockey family. The new balancing process will see every skater placed into initial groups by the head coach group that will each play two shorter games this weekend with the goalies rotating through the games on a set rotation. Following the scrimmages this weekend, players will be moved around the groups in order to bring us closer to balanced teams with each stage of the process.

We will need a strong volunteer assistance group each session to make this all work so please be sure to click on the blue Parent Assistance button just above to see how you can help - everything from our assistant coaches who can help on the benches or on the ice to people to help move the jerseys from one place to another as we will need to collect those each of the next couple weekends. Thank you in advance for helping this all run smoothly!

The Bantam and Midget groups and schedule will be posted following the draft for the initial groups Wednesday night, with the Atom and Peewee groups following on Thursday night. Please be sure to find your group number and look at the schedule on the same document under the groups to see which two times your group is playing or where you fit in the goalie rotation. Players will need to be ready to go at the right time as the times must be followed in order for all the sessions to fit within the time block we have for ice.

August 15, 2018

Those players who will need to participate in an assessment will be contacted directly shortly. For all other players, the first ice times will begin on Saturday, September 8. For the first two weekends, all divisions will participate in shorter scrimmages occurring with back to back timing. Please click on your appropriate division for the schedule for the entire process. Players will be informed of their assigned group schedule within the September 8/9 block following the division drafts occurring immediately after the New Player / Goalie Assessments.

Conflict Submission

We recognize that some players have regularly occuring activities outside of hockey that would restrict their ability to make a practice or game during that time. We ask that all such conflicts are submitted to the association no later than September 10 in order for us to do everything possible to place the players on a team with the best fit for ice times. Please note that requests will not be accepted after 11:59 pm on Monday September 10.

Please complete the form here to submit your information. Kindly only submit activities that you have no control over the timing of and not activities that you would be able to change the day/time. We ask for as much flexibility as you are able to provide as our ice times are restricted to a small number of options.
