PROFORMANCE
GOALIE CLINICS FOR VTMHA GOALIES
Goalies sessions under the Instruction of Pro-Formance Goalie
School will continue each Friday at Kits Rink:
Atom and below 4:45 until 5:30pm.
PeeWee and above 5:30 to 6:15pm.
A new session will start on January 7, 2011 and continue up to and
including Friday **March 4th, 2011
Please beware that this schedule may change based on the number of
goalies at each session. Changes will be noted on the website and
be shared with team managers and coaches.
These sessions are 45 minutes long, please show up on time. Please
beware that once the Instructors have begun reviewing the stations
for the session no additional players will be allowed on the ice.
Having to repeat instructions for one player shortens everyone
else’s active time on the ice.
Coaches and Assistant Coaches are welcome to attend, particularly
for the Atom and below session, where they can help keep the
younger players focused. VTMHA Coaches must wear helmets.

UPDATE REGARDING GOALIE EQUIPMENT REGULATION
Message from Andrew Mustard,
PCAHA:
Hello all:
For your information, please find
attached Hockey Canada Action Bulletin A08-19, which advises that
Hockey Canada has delayed implementation of the new rules governing
goaltender equipment for one year, to the 2009-2010 season.
This change was made at the Hockey Canada Semi-Annual Meeting, held
November 23-24 in Calgary.
Changes to the dimensions of
goaltenders' catching gloves (Rule 23(a)-Note 2), pads ((Rule
23(b)), and chest and arm protectors (new guidelines) were adopted
by Hockey Canada in 2006 effective the 2008-2009 season.
Hockey Canada received feedback from its Branches that the 2 year
lead time was insufficient and is allowing one additional
year. If you know of any goaltenders' parents who are
planning to purchase new goaltender equipment, please make them
aware of the Hockey Canada changes so they do not waste money on
non-compliant equipment.
Best regards,
Andrew Mustard
