Clinic and did not get the hand outs that were to be included in
the binder, please use this link to DOWNLOAD THE INSERTS
FOR EMERGENCY ACTION PLANS FOR VTMHA ARENAS PLEASE SEE Arenas web page. If there is no
link to an arena, it's because we are still compiling the EAP for
that rink, if you can contribute by preparing one for your home
rink, please use this form and forward the

updated Sept. 1, 2009
SAFETY PERSONS (HCSP): BCAHA
has mandated that every team has at least one certified
person (HCSP) in the rink for all games and practices
by Dec. 1, 2009. Some of our coaches have become
certified, however we are looking for interested individuals at all
divisions - both House and Rep.
HCSP Team Officials Qualification Requirements:
1. Must have attended one-time Speakout Clinic (see Team Officials Page for details on
clinic dates)
2. Must attend HCSP Clinic to qualify. Commencing
2007-2008 season, qualification expires every **6 years**
and re-qualification is necessary. For the coming season if
your qualification expires on August 1, 2008, you must requalify.
There is no longer a half-day clinic available to qualify.
(VTMHA will reimburse you the cost of the clinic with
receipt/proof of attendance).

The
Vancouver Thunderbirds will be hosting the HCSP
(Trainer/Safety Person) clinic:
CONFIRMED: October 11 at Kerrisdale
Community Centre.
Please register for your HCSP clinic online at
the BC Hockey Website by clicking on this link:

If you have a Hockey Canada Profile,
It is VERY helpful if you know your Hockey Canada ID when signing
up so please contact tbirdhockey@vancouvertbirds.ca
if you do not know your Hockey Canada ID. If you have never
been rostered on a team, please sign up as a new registrant
online.
Registration for clinics is now done on line by credit card, but
registration fees will still be reimbursed by VTMHA for our members
upon confirmation of completion of the course and submission of
your receipt to our office.
If you have not previously registered online with Hockey Canada
for a course you will need to create a login ID and will be
assigned a Hockey Canada number for tracking your course completion
and history in the future. If you already have a Hockey Canada
Number (any team official who coached, managed, or was a Safety
Person previously will have one assigned to them) you must create
the account using your existing number, otherwise your profile will
not be updated. You may obtain your Hockey Canada ID number
from our Registrar, Sandra Mills by emailing your request to tbirdhockey@vancouvertbirds.ca
Please keep this number for future reference.
