Announcing our Rep Coaches for 2023/24 – Vancouver Thunderbirds Hockey.

Rep Coaches are set for 2023/24

VTMHA is please to announce the Rep Hockey Coaches for the upcoming season! U11, U13, U15, And U18 are set. This will be an exciting season.

U18A Division

A1 – Rod Ramsay

TBirds is excited to announce Rod Ramsay as the U18 A1 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Rod played Junior A hockey prior to his coaching career. Rod has coached for over 20 years at the A1 and A2 levels across the Lower Mainland and has also had the opportunity to coach in Hungary, Serbia, and Scotland. Rod led our U18 A1 team to BC Tier 1 Provincials last season, and we are pleased to have him coaching our U18 A1 team again this coming season.

A2 – Pat Sihota

TBirds is excited to announce Pat Sihota as the U18 A2 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Pat has coached for over a decade within minor hockey associations. Pat has spent the last five years coaching at TBirds most recently in the U15 age group. We are pleased to have Pat return for the 2023/24 season.

U15A Rep Division

A1 – Danny Hildebrand

TBirds is excited to announce Danny Hildebrand as the U15 A1 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Danny has been coaching for approximately 20 years at both the minor hockey and junior levels and has been involved for many years at TBirds. For the past six years, Danny has been coaching at TBirds in the U15 age group and led our U15 A1 team to a silver medal at BC Tier 1 Provincials last season. We are pleased to have him return for the 2023-2024 season.

A2 – Brian Busenius

TBirds is excited to announce Brian Busenius as the U15 A2 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Brian has coached in the U13 and U15 age groups at both TBirds and Richmond. Brian has also led skill development with our youngest players. We are pleased to have Brian return for the 2023/24 season.

A3 – Mike Todd

TBirds is excited to announce Mike Todd as the U15 A3 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Mike Todd has been coaching with TBirds for approximately 17 years. Mike is also the director of player and coach development for our recreational stream. We are pleased to have Mike lead our U15 A3 team this season.

U13A Rep Division

A1 – Brandon Campos/Stanislav Sibert

TBirds is excited to announce Brandon Campos and Stan Sibert as co-coaches for the U13 A1 team for the 2023/24 season.

Stan was a former professional player in Slovakia and he is well known for his skill development of players. Sibert is currently part of the coaching staff at Vancouver Hockey School and has been the providing coach development and support to Thunderbirds coaches since 2019. Stan has over a decade of coaching experience in BC at all age groups and we are very excited to have him involved with our U13 A1 team this season.

Brandon Campos a former professional player, completed 4 years in the WHL with the Everett Silvertips and the Chilliwack Bruins. He went on to play 3 seasons in the CIS for UBC and then played 2 seasons of professional hockey in France. Brandon has been part of the coaching staff with Vancouver Hockey School for the past seven years. He has also been involved with providing skills development support to TBirds and assisted Stan with the U13 A1 team last season. We are very excited to have him involved with coaching our U13 A1 team this season.

A2 – Harrison Brown

TBirds is excited to announce Harrison Brown as the U13 A2 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Harrison has coached with us for almost a decade, primarily in the U13 age group. Last season, in conjunction with Jens Persson-Thomas, Harrison led our U13 A2 team to BC Tier 2 Provincials. We are pleased to have Harrison return for the 2023/24 season.

A3 – Bryson Sihota

TBirds is excited to announce Bryson Sihota as the U13 A3 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Bryson has been involved in coaching TBirds teams for the past 5 seasons at both the U15 and U13 age groups. Last season, Bryson coached our U13 A4 team. We are pleased to have Bryson leading our U13 A3 team this season.

A4 – Jens Persson-Thomas

TBirds is excited to announce Jens Persson-Thomas as the U13 A4 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Jens, a TBird alumni, played his minor hockey at TBirds and he has also been involved with coaching at TBirds over the past four seasons all at the U13 age group. Most recently, he and Harrison Brown led the U13 A2 to a 4^thplace finish at BC Provincials. We are pleased to have Jens leading our U13 A4 team this season.

U11A Rep Division

A1 – Shawn McQuistin

TBirds is excited to announce Shawn McQuistin as the U11 A1 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Shawn has been coaching for over 10 years and has been involved as a skills provider with both Vancouver Hockey School and TBirds. Shawn coached our U11 A2 team last season and we are pleased to have Shawn return and lead our U11 A1 team in 2023-2024.

A2 – Jim Seto

TBirds is excited to announce Jim Seto as the U11 A2 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Jim has coached almost 20 years. He has experience at most age groups but most recently the U13 and U11 levels. We are pleased to have him coaching our U11 A2 team this season.

A3 – Pius Ho

TBirds is excited to announce Pius Ho as the U11 A3 head coach for the 2023/24 season. Pius has coached in China for many years and is focused on the skill development of his players. He has coached within TBirds for the last four years in the U11 age group. We are pleased to have Pius return for the 2023/24 season.
