Vancouver Thunderbirds Summer Camps 2017

August 14-18
August 21-25

Hillcrest Centre

Vancouver Thunderbirds Hockey will provide options for players of all ages to get ready for the upcoming season this August. From our introduction to hockey for the newest members to the T-Birds family to specialized skills camps to our rep prep camps, there is something for everyone.

For SKATERS:
With the exception of the rep prep camps which feature two ice sessions built into the same camp, all of the other ice sessions are dedicated to specialty skill development. For these camps for atom and older, they have been scheduled to allow players to register for back to back camps focusing on different skills within their age groups. This will assist in players getting the option to focus on specific skills at the same time allowing for families to have flexibility to enroll siblings either in the same camp with our extended age groups (atom and peewee or bantam and midget) or in back to back sessions making it easier for one trip to the rink.

For those attending rep prep camps, we have moved this to the first week this year to ensure you have ample time for rest and recovery prior to the start of tryouts. We encourage you to sign up for the rep prep camp, and, if you wish to stay on the ice leading into tryouts, choose one of the hour long sessions offered in the second week. This will ensure you are following the proper tapering process for high performance athletes.

For GOALTENDERS:
While we are not offering a goaltender camp, we have opportunities for goaltenders to prepare for the season in our age specific training camps, rep prep camps and the Thinking the Game - A Small Area Games camp. Space is limited in all of these camps so we do encourage all goaltenders who wish to participate to register early! Should we encounter a situation where we have goaltenders on a waitlist, we will do our best to find a solution to help with their preparation for the season.

Camp Instructors:
Vancouver Thunderbirds Hockey is excited to include some of the best skills instructors this summer as guest instructors. These experts will work along a number of our current and former Thunderbird coaches to provide an exceptional learning environment for our players. All efforts will be made to ensure rep coaches will not be involved in the rep prep camp for their division.

Registration and Camp Questions:
Registration can be done through the RAMP Association Registration Login. If you require assistance with registration, please contact nbreland@vancouvertbirds.ca. For all other questions, please email Tanya Foley at tfoley@vancouvertbirds.ca
