Winning the Provincial Championship is the perfect end to an incredible journey for our Midget A1 team. With a roster full of graduating players sprinkled with a few that will carry the torch forward next season, the team stepped onto the ice this year with high goals. The start of the year saw a group of players that managed to gel quickly and managed to only face a handful of losses throughout the entire season.

Playoffs came, and went, with the TBirds showing they were a powerhouse team capturing the banner in one of the most exciting games of the year. But it was the elusive Provincial Championship Banner that was the focus, so off to Fort St. John they went ranked #1.

A grueling schedule of six games over four days and the T-Birds were exactly where they were hoping to be – in the final game. Puck dropped, and the team left every ounce of themselves on the ice skating away with a 4-2 victory, and their goal of the banner was achieved!

Congratulations to the coaches (Jason Rogers, Julian Feijo, and Mitchell Knoepfel), the players and their ultimate support group, their parents, for everything they were able to accomplish this season.
