On December 1, Rogers Arena was stormed by 144 of our TBirds Hockey 2 group, including a group of players who were able to be the Timbits intermission game. A great time was had and was capped off with a goodie bag for the kids who came. All of this was possible thanks to the Laslo family who worked tirelessly to get the group together. As we know that many little munchkins roaming around Rogers Arena can be quite overwhelming. The Laslo’s were such an integral part in this night being a success and we are very grateful for their selfless work ethic. Congratulations on being selected as our December Volunteers of the Month!

In an ongoing battle for the top spot in their flight, the Midget A1 team is not only having a solid season on the ice, they are setting an incredible example for community involvement. Included in the team schedule have been a day in December helping the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and helping at the recent NHL/NHLPA First Shift program’s Welcome Event where the 45 new to hockey youngsters attended to get their equipment. Our organizational goal is to develop not just hockey skills but people. It’s this kind of leadership that really helps fast track a lot of our players in developing life skills. Thanks Steven for including your team in the “TBirds in the Community” program and congratulations on being selected Coach of the Month!
