Compete and Battle Camp
U11/U13
The game of hockey is made up of a continuous series of small area battles that take place across the entire rink. This camp is designed to teach players how to compete both with and without the puck in a high tempo challenging setting.
This camp is for recreational players of all skill levels. Players will be grouped based on skill for small group stations and drills.

Positioning and Scrimmage Camp
U11 only
This camp is designed to help U11 players learn the skills and tactics necessary to succeed in full-ice hockey. It will focus on offensive and defensive individual and team tactics such as support, checking, zone coverage, and zone entries through high-tempo drills, small area games, and scrimmages.
Rep level players or strong skaters in recreational division may register for this camp. This is NOT a camp for beginners or players who do not have a strong base in skating.

Power Skating Camp
U11 only
Skating is one of the most important skills in hockey. By improving your skating, you will be better able to stay in the play, allowing you to get the puck more and increasing your impact on the game. Maximizing your stride and having control over your edges will truly set you apart from everyone else on the ice. If you want to ensure you are entering the season at full flight, this session is a must!
Rep level players or strong skaters in recreational division may register for this camp. This is NOT a camp for beginners or players who do not have a strong base in skating.

In this camp, players will be taught a variety of shooting skills including proper shooting form, quick release, shooting in stride, accuracy, and in tight shooting. It is a great way for players to take their shooting to the next level helping to produce more goals during the season.
This is camp is for players of all skill levels with a focus on individual development.

This camp is for recreational players of all skill levels. Players will be grouped based on skill for small group stations and drills.

U18 Players (Birth Years: 2004-2006)
U18 Rec Scrimmage August 31st -September 2nd
Are you wanting to shake off a bit of rust before the season starts and get a chance to see your TBird friends? We will be running three nights of scrimmages for our U18C players – join one or all three! Bring a dark and light jersey with you and teams will be formed onsite.
We will need 2-4 parent coaches to assist with the camp (referee/bench support) – volunteers will receive one complimentary pass for a player to join the fun for that session as well. If you would like to help email camps@vancouvertbirds.ca for further instructions prior to registering.
